Slow CW Pow Wow - September 18th, 2021.

The third PARG Slow CW event is planned for Saturday 18 September 2021 from 1100 UTC – 1300 UTC (1900 – 2100 WST). Guidelines are attached below.

The Pow Wow will be open to all radio amateurs and Short Wave Listeners (SWL); it's all about having fun while trying your hand at Morse Code.

Download the PDF and Excel documents by clicking on the black down arrow (Download) on the far right hand side of the page.
Ensure you save the document in a place where you can find it easily later (you might find it in your Downloads folder).

Also below is a file with some operating hints for newcomers - take them with a grain of salt.

The Excel document contains instructions on the first Tab, the operator and SWL loggers and PARG member names for reference during the event. If you don't have Excel on your computer, double click the file below, then select Open With > Google Sheets (or other applications available on your computer). In the free Google Sheets application, on the third line from the top, forth icon from the left, use the Zoom button to select 50% to see the spreadsheet properly.

Note: The logger has been changed since the last contest to reflect the new scoring.

And don't forget, we'll have an SSB call-in on 3600kHz at the end - feedback would be very much appreciated. Look out for Mark from NSW using VK2KI and via the Southern Electronics Group Remote HF station (Bedfordale South East of Perth) using VK6QI.

UPDATE:

Thanks to all who dited and dahed their way through the airways.

The September Pow Wow has been run and won. The results are as follows:

Highest Club scorer was Mark VK2KI/VK6QI.
Highest non-member scorers were Andrew VK1DA and John VK3BSE.

Once again, from David and Mark, thank you for all your efforts to help us make this a great fun event.
With thanks to Jim Massara N2EST
for this sensational QSL cartoon.
