Containers for change.

Peel Amateur Radio Group (PARG) is now registered to collect and deposit 'containers for change’. As part of the WA Government’s Containers for Change container deposit scheme.

Program Details

Information you need to know about Containers for Change and PARG.

Under the guidelines, we can accept most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers in sizes between 150 millilitres and 3 litres.

To be eligible the beverage container must:

  1. Have contained a beverage product that is not excluded from the scheme. For example, cordials, wine bottles, pure spirit bottles and plain milk are not included in the scheme so containers that have held these products are not eligible for a refund.

  2. Display the refund mark. This is so that the Refund Point operator can see if the container is part of the scheme. Most containers will already have a refund mark for SA and NT and these containers are eligible under Containers for Change in WA.

  3. Be an approved container. Only containers made of recyclable materials are eligible for a refund, and containers made of non-recyclable materials cannot be accepted.

Please collect all your 10 cent deposit containers, as shown on the Containers for Change web sites and either take them to the collection points near you using the PARG Member Number (C11118953, or bring them in a bag to the monthly PARG meeting (3rd Tuesday of every month at SES HQ Mandurah) and hand them over to Graham VK6 MG

The money raised is credited into the PARG bank account as an ongoing fund raiser.

To make this a success why not get your family and friends to save their containers for PARG?
