PARG 1 and 2
PARG1
Our mobile communications trailer, PARG 1, provides all round weather emergency communications capability.
It boasts a 30ft pneumatic Clarke telescopic mast, photovoltaic battery power, HF, VHF and UHF RF systems, and StarLink Internet access.
A Broadband/Hamnet node connects to our Mesh network including access to our IP phone network.
PARG 2 is a retired hydraulic lighting tower capable of reaching 10 mtrs in height. It has become a remote HF trailer, with access to most bands provided by a Flex 6400 transceiver, and is fully monitored for battery voltage, solar charge rate and automatic control of the HF radio. Access is restricted to club member use only.
