VK6RMH Repeater
Our club repeater has an output frequency of 146.850 MHz negative offset with the CTCSS access tone of 91.5 Hz.
VK6RMH is situated at the Mandurah SES and provides excellent access throughout the Peel region and is connected to the VK6 Allstar network of repeaters.
The repeater consists of a pair of Wouxun KG-UV920P Twin Band transceivers linked together in repeater mode.
Four of the cavity filters were donated by Richard VK6TT and a further two cavities were donated by Phil VK6ZKO. The cavity duplexer was built and tuned by VK6MJ with much Technical advice from Will VK6UU and a final tune adjust and checkout by Ray VK6ZRW.
The antenna is an RFI 2-metre fibreglass collinear antenna, measuring 4.5 metres in length. It provides a gain of 6.6 dB and has a power handling capability well in excess of our operational requirements and is mounted on a Telco mast, Model TF-RM-SM6 IT.
The antenna is designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 150 km/h. Its one-piece fibreglass construction eliminates the joint-related issues that can occur with multi-section antennas, resulting in improved long-term reliability and reduced maintenance requirements.
