Yes, Amateur Radio is carried on the International Space Station and is the very first and longest operational payload aboard.

Voice contacts with the astronauts are available for schools and organisations involved with school-age students; details are available on the ARISS website.

PARG member VK6MJ, an Amateur Radio operator here in Mandurah, is one of 9 Amateurs worldwide who provide Telebridge ARISS ground stations for these contacts. VK6MJ is available, through PARG, to discuss a possible ISS contact for your school or organisation.
